Just thought I'd make sure everyone who shows sports at their venue are fully promoting the World Cup. The Pub's Chalkboards should be in place by now, securing your market share of the supporters.
Although Red and White is a popular way to go in my part of the country, being the England colours, it might help to be a little more subtle if your house also caters to families and diners. The emphasis on patriotism can be a off-putting for these markets.
Why not 'go green'? Just as a complimentary colour, a sort of grass pitch effect like iI have been using in the background of some of my World Cup Chalkboards.
World Cup themed Chalkboards, while promoting the showing of games, is subtle enough to be in keeping with the PUB's dining and family ethos.
